BNI to complete US$ 500 million bond issuance by the end of March 2021

JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) will complete a series of procedures for the issuance of Global Bonds with a principal of US$ 500 million by the end of March 2021. Mucharom, Corporate Secretary of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) conveyed this in a disclosure of information quoted on Thursday ( 25/3).

He conveyed that the debt securities with an interest rate of 3.75% per year will be the first to be issued by BNI in the Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) program which was renewed yesterday (22/3). "Referring to the EMTN program, BNI can issue debt securities in stages up to US $2 billion," he said.

According to him, BNI management has completed a roadshow and pricing related to the corporate action plan yesterday (23/3). A number of documents that have been signed include amended and restated trust deed with The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), sales and order agreements with Citi Group Global Markets Limited and HSBC.

According to him, the proceeds from Global Bond issuance will be used to strengthen company financing. The value of debt securities to be issued is less than 20% of BNI's equity as of December 2020 amounting to IDR 112.87 trillion. (LK/LM)
