JAKARTA. PT Suparma Tbk (SPMA), a paper-based products manufacturer established in 1978, has recorded net profit growth of IDR 162.54 billion in its fiscal year 2020.
In the recently released financial report, SPMA management claimed that the company’s net profit grew 24.06% year-on-year in 2020 compared to the fiscal year 2019. The net profit in 2020 was supported by the company’s sales performance that reached IDR 2.15 trillion.
Based on the sales area, 88% of SPMA products that were worth IDR 1.89 trillion were sold within the domestic market. The remaining 12%, which is equal to IDR 260.55 billion, was sent to the export market. “The company’s main sales, which are papers, comprise 99.56% and 99.30% of the net sales in 2020 and 2019 respectively,” the management explained.
According to idnfinancials.com data, 32.52% of SPMA shares are currently controlled by PT Sari Bumi Indopower. Then, 31.48% of shares are owned by PT Gloriajaya Gempita, 28.37% by PT Wahana Bumi Indonesia, and the remaining 7.63% by public investors. (KR/ZH)
