JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), or abbreviated as BRI, would issue a cash dividend of IDR 12.13 trillion, or equivalent to 65% of its net profit of the fiscal year 2020.

This plan has been approved during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting held last week. In the said meeting, the shareholders of BRI have also decided the dividend portion allocated to the government, which owns 56.75% of the company.

Based on the annual meeting, the total cash dividend that would be paid to the state’s public treasury would be IDR 6.88 trillion. The remaining amount would be distributed to public and private shareholders whose names were listed under the recording date. The fixed recording date and the dividend distribution method would be decided later by the management.

After allocating 65% of the net profit for the cash dividend, the annual shareholders’ meeting also agreed to turn the remaining net profit, equivalent to IDR 6.53 trillion, into the retained earnings. (KR/ZH)
