JAKARTA - PT Capitol Nusantara Indonesia Tbk (CANI), a transportation service company, received additional funds for the sale of barge assets to PT Ably Metal Indonesia (AMI). The two parties agreed on this sale and purchase transaction at the end of last week (31/3).
Ang Ah Nui, President Director of PT Capitol Nusantara Indonesia Tbk (CANI) said that the assets being sold are the Bina 86 barge weighing 600 tons. "The agreed price is IDR 4,800 per kilogram (kg) and the sale will be carried out at the PT ASL Shipyard Indonesia (ASL) shipyard, Batam," he said.
According to him, the ship was sold in the form of scrap to AMI. The down payment for the transaction amounted to IDR 1 billion and the rest would be paid by the buyer a week after AMI received scrap pieces from the ASL shipyard.
If calculated from the weight of the barge with the agreed purchase price for scrap, CANI is estimated to receive fresh funds in the range of IDR 2.88 billion for the sale of the asset. (LK/LM)
