JAKARTA – PT Aneka Gas Industri Tbk (AGII) gathered up sales of IDR 2.19 trillion in 2020, slightly lower than its 2019 sales of IDR 2.2 trillion. This achievement resulted from a significant sales growth in Q4 2020 after having weakened in the early COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Rachmat Harsono, the President Director of PT Aneka Gas Industri Tbk (AGII), the sales performance in 2020 was considered stable despite a thin decline of 0.7% compared to 2019. “Meanwhile, the Q4 2020 sales were recorded at IDR 611.42 billion; it was higher than the previous quarter,” Harsono stated in a press conference on Friday (9/4).
Harsono also claimed that this gain also allowed gross profit and current year profit to improve to IDR 933.43 billion and IDR 99.86 billion, respectively. “In Q4 2020, the profit was reported at IDR 67.69 billion, which means five times higher than Q3 2020,” he continued.
According to Harsono, the profit increase came from the customers in the health sector, particularly medical gas needs, installation services, and other supports. Then, the contribution of the customers within infrastructure and consumer goods sectors only began in Q4 2020.
In 2019, AGII recorded gross profit and current year profit of IDR 997.79 billion and IDR 103.43 billion. (LK/ZH)
