JAKARTA. PT Amartha Mikro Fintek announced its new collaboration with PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) to launch the PermataVirtual Account service, facilitating transactions for hundreds of thousands of Amartha’s benefactors.

Hadi Wenas, Chief Commercial Officer of Amartha, explained that the PermataVirtual Account would speed up funding transactions in the Amartha platform. In addition to that, the said virtual account was claimed to minimize the interbank transaction costs.

“PermataVirtual Account could complement services from the previous ecosystem and give additional value, experience, and comfort for Amartha’s benefactors,” Wenas stated to idnfinancials.com earlier today.

Meanwhile, Indra Gunawan, Head of Digital Channel Division of BNLI, claimed that PermataVirtual Account would not be limited to assist the benefactors who are the customers at Permata Bank. “It would not be exclusive to Permata Bank’s customers; it would be usable for other banks’ customers,” Gunawan added on the same occasion.

According to idnfinancials.com, Amartha was established in 2010 as a microfinance institution. Six years later, Amartha transformed into a financial technology company after gaining permission from the Financial Services Authority (lit. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK). Until today, there have been more than IDR 3.44 trillion funds from the benefactors being distributed to 645.56 thousand business partners of Amartha in Indonesia. (KR/ZH)
