JAKARTA – The third-party funds (DPK) in Q2 2021 is predicted to grow from Q1 2021 following the recent credit channelling growth. This projection was a result of a Banking Survey by Bank Indonesia that was published earlier today (21/4).

Erwin Haryono, the Executive Director of Communication Department Head of Bank Indonesia (BI), mentioned that the increasing DPK could be observed by seeing the weighted net balance (lit. Saldo Bersih Tertimbang/SBT) of DPK climbing up to 42.4% in Q2 2021 from 17.1% in Q1 2021. This DPK growth occurred both in current and saving accounts, 49.4% and 70.6%, respectively. Meanwhile, the fixed deposit accounts spotted a minus 33.9% in Q2 2021.

Furthermore, the new credit channelling in Q2 2021 is projected to climb higher than in Q1 2021. It was indicated by the SBT of the credit channeling going up to 93.3% in Q2 2021 from 30.4% in Q1 2021. The credit was mostly utilised in consumption credit, followed by working capital credit and investment purposes. (LK/ZH)
