JAKARTA. The State Budget (lit. Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara/APBN) saw a 0.82% deficit of Gross Domestic Product (lit. Produk Domestik Bruto/PDB), equivalent to IDR 144.2 trillion, in Q1 2021.
The Vice Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, assured that the said deficit was still under control. “We would keep an eye on it,” Nazara claimed during the APBN Press Conference on Thursday (22/4).
According to Nazara, until March this year, the nation’s income climbed up to IDR 378.8 trillion, which has reached 21.7% of the APBN target and increased by 0.6% from last year. Meanwhile, the budget financing was at 323 trillion, equal to 32.1% of PDB.
On the other hand, state purchases went up by 15.6% from last year, now reaching IDR 523 trillion, or 19% of the APBN target. Therefore, it leads to the primary balance tipping off to minus IDR 65.8 trillion, or 10.4% of APBN. It surges 2,933.75% from last year. (AM/ZH)
