The dividend payout ratio of Prodia kept increasing since its IPO in 2016

JAKARTA. The dividend payout ratio (DPR) of PT Prodia WidyaHusada Tbk. (PRDA) has been consistently rising within the last five years. For the fiscal year 2020, PRDA has set a DPR of 60%.

The President Director of Prodia, Dewi Muliaty, claimed that since its initial public offering (IPO) in 2017, the company always managed to maintain the dividend distribution to the shareholders while considering the approval from the shareholders.

According to Muliaty, the dividend payment depends on several factors, including retained earnings, operational and financial performance, economic condition, financial condition, liquidity, future business prospects, cash needs, and other relevant factors.

PRDA listed its shares in the stock exchange on December 7, 2016. In 2017, the company distributed its 2016 profit of IDR 26.44 billion, with the dividend of IDR 28.2 per share and DPR at 30%. Then, the DPR went up to 40% in 2017, whose payment was carried out in 2018. In 2018 and 2019, the DPR climbed up to 50%. Lastly, the DPR for 2020 would reach 60%, and its payment would be made in May 2021. (AM/ZH)
