CIMB Niaga posts Rp996 billion profit last year

JAKARTA - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA), today reported a consolidated (unaudited) net profit of IDR 996 billion in the first quarter of 2021, resulting in earnings per share of IDR 39.95.

President Director of CIMB Niaga Tigor M. Siahaan said, "CIMB Niaga recorded good growth in operating revenue and operating profit before provision of 8.3% year-on-year (YoY) and 16.1% YoY, respectively in the first quarter of 2021."

Total third party funds (“DPK”) was recorded at IDR 200.1 trillion with a CASA ratio of 63.3%, in line with the Bank's commitment to developing digital services and improving customer experience. Total loans disbursed amounted to Rp173.4 trillion, which was mainly contributed by the Consumer Banking business which grew 1.6% Y-o-Y. Home Ownership Loans (“KPR”) grew 5.2% Y-o-Y, while Car Ownership Loans (“KPM”) increased by 5.4% Y-o-Y.

CIMB Niaga continues to develop digital-based products to complement the services provided through branch offices. In 1Q21, 95% of total customer transactions were made through digital banking services such as OCTO Mobile, OCTO Clicks, BizChannel @ CIMB, Automated Teller Machines (“ATM”), and Rekening Ponsel.
