Kimia Farma to distribute 40% of its net profit in 2020 as dividend

JAKARTA. PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF), a state-owned pharmaceutical company, to share the dividend of IDR 7.06 billion or 40% of its net profit in 2020.

Ganti Winarno Putro, the Corporate Secretary of Kimia Farma, stated that this plan went accordingly to the decision made during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting held earlier this week. In addition to the dividend distribution, the meeting also agreed to allocate the remaining net profit amounting to IDR 10.58 billion to reserve funds.

In the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange, Putro added that the cum dividend in the regular and negotiation market would be on May 6, 2021, followed by the cash market on May 10, 2021. Next, the payment would be distributed on May 28, 2021.

According to idnfinancials.com data, KAEF’s net profit in 2020 was strengthened by the sales performance that reached IDR 10.01 trillion. It recorded a 6.45% year-on-year (yoy) growth compared to 2019.

Until December 31, 2020, the Indonesian government, through PT Bio Farma (Persero), took charge of 90.02% of KAEF’s shares. Another 4.44% of its shares went to PT Asabri (Persero), and the remaining 5.53% belonged to public investors. (KR/ZH)
