JAKARTA – PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) would open Alfa X and Bean Spot stores as a part of business innovations connected to the Alfamart retail network across Indonesia. The plan would be discussed in the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting next Thursday (6/5).
Lana Pudjianto, Financial Plan and Reporting Manager of Alfaria, claimed that this action was intended to improve business performance. “This business initiative aligns with the development of citizen composition based on age according to the 2020 census. It indicates a change in consumer’s pattern in buying non-packaged fast food and beverages,” Pudjianto continued.
The Alfa X and Bean Spot stores would appear as modern-minimarket-themed cafes with coworking spaces that suit the younger generation’s characteristics. The company targeted to receive a 10% contribution in its revenue from this new establishment. The coffee corner concept in Bean Spot would add to Alfamart’s product diversity in its 15.434 stores across the country.
The management projected to see performance growth after this business exploration, including its net profit reaching IDR 1.54 trillion, total assets IDR 26.63 trillion, total equity IDR 11.11 trillion, current assets IDR 12.26 trillion, and short-term liability IDR 12.53 trillion. (LK/ZH)
