IDX records positive data in second week of May

JAKARTA - Entering the second week of May 2021 and ahead of Eid Al-Fitr, the majority of the week's trading data for the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) are still closed positive. The highest increase occurred in the average daily exchange value of 3.27 percent, amounting to IDR9.306 trillion from IDR9.011 trillion in the previous week.

Then, the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) also increased 0.17 percent at 5,938.351 from the previous week's closing at 5,928.309. Market capitalization during the period 10 - 11 May 2021 experienced an increase of 0.15 percent to Rp7,028.641 trillion from Rp7,017,990 trillion at the close of the previous week.

Meanwhile, the Exchange's daily average frequency experienced a change of 1.00 percent to 969,406 transactions compared to last week's 979,224 transactions. Then the average Exchange transaction volume changed 10.29 percent to 13.528 billion shares from 15.080 billion shares at the close of the previous week.

On May 11, foreign investors recorded a net selling value of IDR60.33 billion, while in 2021 foreign investors recorded a net purchase of IDR9.570 trillion. (LM)
