Govt targes State Budget 2022 deficit between -4.51% and -4.85%

JAKARTA. The government is targeting a deficit in the state budget (APBN) in 2022 to be a minus 4.51% to 4.85% of gross domestic product (GDP).

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the state budget deficit was due to higher state spending than state revenue. State spending is estimated to reach 14.69%-15.3% of GDP while state revenue ranges from 10.18%-10.44% of GDP, said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani during the Plenary Meeting with the Indonesian Parliament, Thursday (20/5).

Furthermore, the Minister of Finance explained that the level of government debt ratio next year will be at the level of 43.76% to 44.28% of GDP, and the primary balance is minus 2.31% to minus 2.65% of GDP. (AM/LM)
