JAKARTA – PT Lima Dua Lima Tiga Tbk (LUCY), the managing company of the restaurant Lucy in the Sky, to open at least two new chain restaurants in the second half of 2021. This plan is possible after LUCY gained incentives from investors in the capital market in early May 2021.

“The plan to open a restaurant in Senayan Park is entering contract finalisation, and would be operated in September 2021. Furthermore, the restaurant opening in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK)  is entering contract negotiation process,” Ratna Sari, the Corporate Secretary of LUCY, explained in a press conference, quoted Friday (21/5).

According to Sari, the management has initiated the expansion plan prior to the initial public offering (IPO), for example, by renovating LUCY’s spot in SCBD, Jakarta, which would finish in June 2021.

As specified, LUCY has gained additional funds through the IPO, reaching IDR 33.7 billion. Then, 91.99% would be allotted to operational, marketing, and management of seven new chain stores. The remaining 8.01% would be used to lease the place in SCBD, Jakarta.

“We’re optimistic that this initiative could be realised as targeted. The food and beverages sector would strengthen as the economy grows this year,” Sari claimed. (LK/ZH)
