JAKARTA. As of April 2021, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has scored IDR 5.2 trillion in net profit, or equal to 45.5% of its target in 2021 of IDR 11.4 trillion. This number soared by 137.7% compared to Q1 2020.
The President Director of PLN, Zulkifli Zaini, revealed that this surge resulted from the declining foreign exchange expenses. Furthermore, the EBITDA also reached IDR 34.2 trillion in April 2021, increasing 16% year-on-year (yoy) and hitting 41.9% of the target of IDR 81.5 trillion.
During the Public Hearing on Tuesday (25/5), Zaini also mentioned a reduced debt by 0.8% by April this year compared to December 2020. It became possible through a larger amount of debt payment compared to the loans recently made. (AM/ZH)
