BCA pockets IDR 849.4 trillion of Third Party Funds in first quarter

JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) pocketed third party funds (DPK) of IDR 849.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2021, in which the current account and savings account (CASA) segment grew significantly compared to same period last year. This was conveyed by Jahja Setiaadmadja, President Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) in a press release, Thursday (27/5).

According to him, CASA's growth reflects the level of customer trust and the consistent development of digital solutions in the transaction banking business franchise. "BCA processed an average of 40.5 million transactions per day during the first quarter of 2021, growing from the same period last year which recorded an average transaction of 31.5 million," he said.

During the first quarter of 2021, CASA contributed IDR 655.8 trillion and deposits of IDR 193.6 trillion to total deposits. CASA grew 15.4% year on year (YoY) and time deposits increased by 12.2% YoY. The growth in deposits pushed the increase in net interest income to IDR 14.1 trillion. With this achievement, BCA recorded an increase in total assets to IDR 1,090.4 trillion.

BCA recorded a total loan distribution of IDR 586.8 trillion consisting of corporate loans of IDR 263.6 trillion, commercial and small and medium enterprise (SME) loans of IDR 178.9 trillion, and consumer loans of IDR 139.5 trillion. (LK/LM)
