Investment realisation of 2020 reached IDR 827 trillion; the FDI stayed below 10%

JAKARTA. The Minister of Investment and the Head of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia, revealed that the investment realisation in 2020 was at IDR 827 trillion, with the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) was below 10%.

According to Lahadalia, Europe and England were seen giving contributions to the investment in Indonesia. Furthermore, Netherlands entered the top five countries with the highest FDI throughout 2020. Switzerland was also included in the list, replacing Japan in Q1 2021.

England’s investment level is growing, from 20th place in 2019 of USD 182.1 billion to USD 192.8 million in 2020.

During the virtual event Indonesia Investment Forum 2021, Thursday (27/5), Lahadalia also expressed optimism about how investors could now invest easier in Indonesia. (AM/ZH)
