JAKARTA. PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) would distribute the dividend of IDR 16.64 trillion, equivalent to 80% of its net profit in 2020. This current dividend is 9% higher than the ones disbursed in 2019.
Ririek Adriansyah, the Director of Telkom, confirms that this action has gained approval during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting today (28/5). Furthermore, the remaining net profit of IDR 4.16 trillion would be allotted to the retained earnings.
“The dividend distribution would take place no later than July 2, 2021,” Adriansyah assured in a press conference.
Yesterday (27/5), TLKM’s stock trading was closed at IDR 3,380, making the dividend yield reached 4.97%.
Based on idnfinancials.com data, TLKM’s net profit in 2020 was supported by its revenue that managed to reach IDR 136.46 trillion. Compared to last year, the revenue of this state-owned telecommunication company increased by 0.67%.
As of December 31, 2021, the government still held control over 52.09% of TLKM. Another 3.88% belonged to the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. The remaining 44.03% is distributed among the public investors. (KR/ZH)
