JAKARTA – PT Airasia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP), Air Asia flight operator, would cut down the members of its commissary boards following the diminishing revenue and increasing loss after the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was made during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting last week (27/5).

In the information disclosure, quoted Thursday (3/6), Indah Permata Sauqi, the Corporate Secretary of Air Asia, announced that the commissary board would now comprise three members from the previous five members. The current board consists of Dendy Kurniawan as the President Commissary and Kamarudin bin Meranun and Tharumalingam Kanagalingam as commissaries.

Prior to the shareholders meeting, the commissary board was made of Dendy Kurniawan and four other commissaries, including Kamarudin Bin Meranum, Pin Haris, Tharumalingam Kanagalingam, and Muhammad Kerry Adrianto.

CMPP’s revenue in December 2020 was reported at IDR 1,61 trillion, sliding off from IDR 6.70 trillion in December 2019. The current year’s loss in 2020 reached IDR 2.57 trillion, significantly dropping from IDR 157.36 billion in 2019. This poor performance resulted from the increased operating expenses of IDR 4.41 trillion during the declining revenue. (LK/ZH)
