Pertagas scores US$ 41.3 million profit in first quarter

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) recorded a net profit growth of 133 percent to US$ 41.3 million in the first quarter of 2021 from US$ 32.2 million in the same period last year.

In a press release quoted on Friday (4/6), Elok Ariani Ariza, Manager of Communication Relations and CSR of Pertagas said that this achievement exceeded the target set at US$ 31 million. "The LPG gas processing business line and LNG regasification contributed significantly to this achievement," he said.

According to him, the realization of LNG regasification is 9,856 BBTU and LPG gas processing is 61,468 tons as of April 2021. The volume of gas transportation is 159,342 MMSCF, oil transportation is 1,123,328 barrels, and gas trade is 8,865 BBTU.

As of December 2020, Pertagas also posted a net profit of US$ 106.6 million, growing beyond the target of US$ 105.8 million. (LK/LM)
