PURBALINGGA - Citilink airline for the first time carried out commercial flights at Jenderal Besar Sudirman Airport by flying the Purbalingga route from and to Surabaya and Jakarta (Halim Perdanakusuma) starting yesterday, Thursday (3/6).

“Thanks God, Citilink is the first airline to make a history of conducting commercial flights at Jenderal Besar Sudirman Airport and we are proud to be able to participate in the process of opening this airport. Citilink would like to thank all stakeholders who have coordinated well so that this inaugural commercial flight to Purbalingga can be realized and runs safely and smoothly while ensuring the implementation of strict health protocols," said Citilink President Director Juliandra in Purbalingga, Thursday.

The Surabaya - Purbalingga and Purbalingga - Jakarta (Halim Perdanakusuma) flights are served twice a week, namely on Thursdays and Saturdays using the ATR 72-600 fleet.

Juliandra said, "The opening of this new route is expected to facilitate mobility not only for the people of Purbalingga, but also for surrounding communities such as Banyumas, Banjarnegara and Purwokerto to travel to and from Jakarta and Surabaya, which currently do not have access to air transportation."
