Expanding business, Iforte acquires fiber optic infrastructure from affiliate

JAKARTA. PT Iforte Solusi Infotek (Iforte), the telecommunication company recently acquired by PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), has just recently signed the sale-purchase agreement of an asset in the form of fiber optic infrastructure and its devices worth IDR 2.19 billion.

The said asset is bought from Iforte’s affiliate company, PT Global Telekomunikasi Prima (GTP). According to idnfinancials.com data, Iforte and GTP are two companies owned by the same stockholder, PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo).

The recently obtained fiber optic has a network coverage covering Medan-Deli Serdang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, and Surabaya. “The sale-purchase agreement transaction aims to support the expansion of Iforte’s business activities and improve Iforte’s portfolio of fiber optic ownership,” Irfan Ghazali, the Corporate Secretary of TOWR, explains.

According to idnfinancials.com data, Iforte has total assets before elimination of IDR 4.29 trillion, as reported in March 2021. Meanwhile, GTP’s total assets before elimination are recorded at IDR 2.29 billion.
