The Attorney General Office seizes more assets of RIMO in Balikpapan

17 June 2021 13:14

JAKARTA – The Attorney General Office confiscates a land of PT Hokindo Properti Investama, a subsidiary of PT Rimo International Lestari Tbk (RIMO), in Manggar, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. At the end of May 2021, the government has also seized land and building assets of RIMO’s subsidiary in Sumbawa Besar, West Nusa Tenggara, and Gandaria, South Jakarta.

In the information disclosure, quoted on Thursday (17/6), Teddy Tjokrosapoetro, the President Director of RIMO, claims that this assets seizure would cause issues in the permit administration and the development of housing projects. “This threatens the longevity of the company,” he adds.

According to Tjokrosapoetro, the seized assets would be taken as evidence regarding the alleged corruption of investment management funds by PT Asabri (Persero) in 2012-2019 on behalf of Benny Tjokrosaputro. The legal case that involves Benny Tjokrosaputro is not a legal case related to RIMO and its subsidiaries. It is rather a personal case.

The seizure of land of 838,660 m2 took place earlier this week (14/6). It includes a copy of document representing PT Nusamakmur Cipta Sentosa (NCS). (LK/ZH)
