Morgan Stanley gains IDR 325.35 billion after divesting its stock in AMRT

JAKARTA – Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc (MISP) gathers funds worth IDR 325.35 billion from divesting its shares in PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT), the owner of Alfamart.

Lana Pudjianto of the Financial Plan and Reporting of AMRT announces that MSIP sold 294,884,400 units of shares for IDR 1,103 each two weeks earlier (11/6). “The ownership percentage of MSIP before the transaction was 8.522% or 3,538,721,289 shares,” Pudjianto adds.

After this transaction, MSIP’s stakes in AMRT are reduced to 7.8119% or 3,243,836,889 units. On June 9, 2021, MSIP transferred 3.2 billion units of shares between securities, increasing its ownership to 3,626,508,889 units or 8.7334% from 429,014,889 units or 1.0332% in AMRT.

As of May 2021, AMRT’s shares amount to 41,524,501,700 units, controlled by PT Sigmantara Alfindo (52.55%). The remaining 47.45% are dispersed among the public investors, each owning less than 5%. (LK/ZH)
