JAKARTA. The net profit of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) slightly increases 2.59% to IDR 6.01 trillion in Q1 2021, supported by the improved performance of its fixed broadband service, IndiHome.

The President Director of Telkom, Ririek Adriansyah, reveals that the net profit in Q1 2021 is higher than analysts’ consensus. Adriansyah claims that this gain results from the progressively solidified performance of fixed broadband internet service, IndiHome.

“IndiHome’s revenue grows up to 25% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 6.35 trillion. It is driven by the increased number of users and the improved Average Revenue per User (ARPU),” Adriansyah explains in the official statement, as quoted from Bisnis, Tuesday (29/6).

According to the financial report in March 2021, TLKM records a total revenue of IDR 33.94 trillion, declining 0.73% yoy from IDR 34.19 trillion in Q1 2020. However, the current year’s profit attributable to the parent entity increases 2.59% to IDR 6.01 trillion in Q1 2021 from IDR 5.86 trillion in Q1 2020.

Its EBITDA reaches IDR 18.81 trillion, increasing 0.3% yoy. Its margin also climbs to 55.4% from 54.9%, while the net profit margin reaches 17.7% from 17.1%. (AM/ZH)
