MNC Investama aims for IDR 2.24 trillion in the rights issue

JAKARTA – PT MNC Investama Tbk (BHIT) seeks fresh funds worth IDR 2.24 trillion through its seventh rights issue, to be held from September 6 to 17, 2021. An IDR 2.17 trillion of it would be spent on converting the Senior Bond of BHIT to stock and working capital.

In the information disclosure, quoted Monday (12/7), MNC Investama claims to issue a maximum of 12,952,851,616 shares, equivalent to 15.38% of its entire issued and paid-up capital after the rights issue. The execution price is set to IDR 173 per share.

As of May 2021, BHIT’s authorised capital is reported at IDR 20.50 trillion, while its issued and paid-up capital is IDR 7.37 trillion. HT Investment Development Ltd owns 18.58% of the shares, DBS Bank Ltd S/A Caravaggio Holdings Limited 11.68%, DBS Bank Ltd S/A New Ascend Limited 9.65%, PT Bhakti Panjiwira 7.39%, and public (below 5%) 52.70%.

The management also discloses that there is no standby buyer for this transaction. If the stockholders do not fully claim the entire offered shares, the shares would be rechannelled into the other stockholders. If there are still unclaimed shares, the remnants would be returned to the company’s stock portfolio. (LK/ZH)
