PCR and Antigen test results from Prodia to become flight requirements

13 July 2021 22:25

JAKARTA. The PCR and Antigen test results obtained from PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk (PRDA) have been officially integrated with the New All Record (NAR) system. The test result would then be the requirements for flight passengers to board.

Dewi Muliaty, President Director of PRDA, explains that Prodia laboratories are now the facilities officially affiliated with Indonesia’s Ministry of Health. “As we become the laboratories affiliated with Health Ministry, we hope to aid the government in the tracing and examining processes in order to prevent the COVID-19 spread,” she adds in the press conference earlier today (13/7).

The government has required any flight passengers to show a negative result on their PCR or Antigen tests before boarding. Furthermore, the passengers would also have to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Health, states that there have been 742 laboratories affiliated with the Health Ministry. These laboratories are allowed to enter their data into NAR. “Only PCR/Antigen test results from affiliated laboratories are valid as the flight requirement,” Sadikin explains.

In 2020, Prodia had conducted over one million COVID-19 tests in Indonesia. Meanwhile, in June 2021, the company performed over 630 thousand COVID-19 tests. (KR/ZH)
