Waskita Karya agrees to debt restructuring of IDR 19.29 trillion

JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) has signed a debt restructuring agreement regarding a credit facility worth IDR 19.29 trillion from five state-owned banks.

The said five banks to be the creditors and had agreed to the debt restructuring deal include PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Bank Syariah Indonesia, and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten (BJBR).

“This agreement deal would provide a positive impact on the company’s business and financial condition in the future,” Ratna Ningrum, Senior Vice President Corporate Secretary of WSKT, states in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange earlier today (19/7).

To provide more details, WSKT’s total restructured debt to BMRI amounts to IDR 4.62 trillion. Meanwhile, its debt to BBNI reached IDR 9.16 trillion, BBRI IDR 2.79 trillion, Bank Syariah Indonesia IDR 1.71 trillion, and BJBR IDR 998.22 billion.

The debt payment would be made in two tranches, with a tenor extension until December 31, 2026, and an optional extension until 2031. Meanwhile, both interests and profit-sharing from the credit facility would be adjusted. (KR/ZH)
