JAKARTA – PT Eastparc Hotel Tbk (EAST), the Eastparc Hotel Yogyakarta managing company, manages to score a higher profit in the first half of 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the same period last year.
Khalid bin Omar Abdat, President Director of Eastparc Hotel, reports that the company’s revenue has reached IDR 21.67 trillion. It soars by 39.55% from IDR 15.53 billion. Its operating and current profits are at IDR 4.22 billion and IDR 3.33 billion, turning the tables from the last year’s operating and current losses of IDR 3.13 billion and IDR 1.76 billion.
The revenue growth is visible in all business lines. Room income reaches IDR 13.17 billion from IDR 8.21 billion, while the income from foods and beverages is now at IDR 7.03 billion from IDR 6.73 billion. Other segments also increase to IDR 929 million from IDR 577 million.
EAST’s profit in H1 2021 could improve due to the efficiency of its revenue costs, cutting it down to IDR 6.9 billion from IDR 8.09 billion. Although the operating expenses slightly climb to IDR 9.54 billion from IDR 9 billion, the depreciating expenses diminish to IDR 985 million from IDR 1.56 billion. (LK/ZH)
