JAKARTA – PT Armada Berjaya Trans Tbk (JAYA) seeks fresh additional funds by issuing 375,000,105 shares and 131,250,036 Series II warrants. These numbers equal 50% and 35% of the company’s current issued and paid-up capital.

In the information disclosure published on Monday (26/7), JAYA plans to conduct this rights issue at least by the second half of 2021 after obtaining permission during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting and from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The said meeting is scheduled for September 1, 2021.

The stockholders abstaining from this rights issue would have their portion in the company diluted by 50% and 57.45% at most, respectively. As of June 2021, JAYA owns 375,000,105 units of shares. PT Prima Globalindo controls 33.06% of them, Darmawan Suryadi SM 23.81%, and the public investors 43.13%.

The funds raised from this corporate action would be channelled to its working capital. JAYA is said to purchase 15 units of CDD Long Box trucks, revitalise its existing trucks, and draw up the funds for the capital expenditure of IDR 13.64 billion in 2021. (LK/ZH)
