Happyfresh raises USD65 million series D funding

JAKARTA - Indonesian home shopping service platform HappyFresh has pocketed US$65 million in Series D funding.

The funding was led by Naver Financial Corporation and Gafina B.V., followed by STIC, LB, and Mirae Asset Indonesia and Singapore. Other participating investors are Mirae Asset-Naver Asia Growth Fund and Z Venture Capital. This funding exceeded the initial target due to significant demand from new and existing investors.

Guillem Segarra, CEO, HappyFresh said, “We have been operating for the last 6 years to provide our customers with selected fresh ingredients of the highest quality. Especially over the last few years, efforts have been made for all the families who have trusted us to safely deliver essentials to their homes.”

To date, HappyFresh has made various efforts to simplify the shopping experience for customers, such as adding payment methods (virtual accounts, OVO and DANA e-wallet), collaborating with more supermarkets to add a variety of product choices and developing express-on demand delivery services. in several areas in order to meet the needs of customers who want fast paced.

After Jabodetabek, Bandung, Malang, Semarang, Surabaya, Makassar and Bali, HappyFresh also plans to expand in several other cities. (LM)
