JAKARTA – PT Astra Graphia Tbk (ASGR) records a slight downturn in its revenue of 13.46% to IDR 1.25 trillion in H1 2021 from IDR 1.45 trillion in the same period last year. This loss affects the profit, now reaching only IDR 18.09 billion from IDR 20.93 billion last year

In the financial report of the first half of 2021, published today (28/7), the management claims the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason behind the declining revenue. The Large-Scale Social Distancing (PSBB) had affected sales and billing, recurring income, and goods and services supply for the consumers.

“Facing the economic situation heavy with uncertainties, Astra Graphia is adapting, mitigating, and prioritising operational excellence in every process involved in all business lines,” Hendrix Pramana, Director of Astra Graphia, further claims.

The revenue flows from leasing services, bringing in IDR 524.3 billion, followed by goods sales IDR 332.02 billion. Then, income from projects adds IDR 159.47 billion, service and maintenance service IDR 148.19 billion, and consumables and outsourcing services IDR 92.83 billion.

As of June 30, 2021, ASGR records a gross profit of IDR 248.80 billion, falling from IDR 269.18 billion. Its earnings before tax also slump to IDR 23.48 billion from IDR 25.62 billion. “Astra Graphia has made improvements in several expenses and reducing operational costs by 4%,” Pramana adds. (LK/ZH)
