JAKARTA. PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (NISP) records a net profit of IDR 1.5 trillion in the first half of 2021. This gain is supported by third-party funds growth of up to 11.2% year-on-year (yoy).

Parwati Surjaudaja, President Director of Bank OCBC NISP, explains that the company’s performance in H1 2021 is enhanced by several upgrades within the company. They include an improvement in banking solutions for the users and in the capability of digital services offered by the bank.

In an official announcement received by idnfinancials.com, NISP’s total assets in H1 2021 grow 10.4% yoy to IDR 201 trillion. Furthermore, its total third-party funds are reported to reach IDR 150.4 trillion.

NISP assets growth also comes with the credit channeling that arrives at IDR 115.5 trillion by the end of June 2021. In addition to that, the net non-performing loan (NPL) ratio in H1 2021 is safe at 1%, while its gross NPL ratio only reaches 2.5%.

Surjaudaja projects NISP’s performance in the second half of the year would be affected by the national economic recovery that had been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. “The economic recovery in H2 2021 would still be challenging as the COVID-19 cases surge,” she adds. (KR/ZH)
