JAKARTA. PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME) has become the total controller of PT Elang Medika Corpora (EMC). It is now official following the EMC’s stock transfer from PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) to SAME for IDR 1.3 trillion.
EMTK has sold its entire portion of shares planted in EMC to SAME, amounting to 1,254,899 shares with a total par value of IDR 1.25 trillion. The transaction itself is worth IDR 1.35 trillion.
Titi Maria Rusli, Corporate Secretary of Elang Mahkota Teknologi, in the information disclosure in the exchange today (4/8), explains that the company has completed the said transaction. It subsequently leads to EMTK transferring the entire control of EMC to SAME. After this transaction, SAME now gains the ownership portion of 99.99% of EMC’s total issued and paid-up capital.
Rusli further reveals that the transaction had been finalised on August 2, 2021. As additional information, EMTK is a controller of both healthcare service companies (EMC and SAME). Therefore, this transaction acts as a part of EMTK’s consolidation strategies to establish a more focused healthcare business segment. (AM/ZH)
