JAKARTA – PT Capitol Nusantara Indonesia Tbk (CANI), the sea transportation service provider, continues to exert efficiencies by selling its Unihaul 332 barge. It is intended to deal with the stagnancy in sea transportation activities following the COVID-19 pandemic. Director of Capitol Nusantara Indonesia, Jansen Warokka, announces this decision in the information disclosure, quoted Friday (6/8).
The vessel is shipped out to PT Sarana Rejeki Lines, a company headquartering in Samarinda Ilir, Samarinda, worth SGD 1.2 billion. “The down payment amounts to SGD 320,000, while the remaining portion of SGD 880,000 would be paid within three days after PT ASL Shipyard Indonesia in Batam sends out the readiness notice,” Warokka confirms.
According to Warokka, the buyer had inspected the purchased vessel in the Batam shipyard on June 14, 2021.
As informed before, CANI had also sold its Bina 86 barge, weighing 600 tons, at the end of July 2021. The cash gained through the said transaction reached IDR 2.88 billion. (LK/ZH)
