Efficiencies boost BELL’s net profit to IDR 5.64 billion

JAKARTA. PT Trisula Textile Industries Tbk (BELL) recorded a net profit of IDR 5.64 billion in the first half of 2021, 19.7 times higher than the number reported in the same period last year.

BELL’s net profit in H1 2021 is supported by its sales that reach IDR 223.54 billion. When compared to the sales reported in the same period in 2020, BELL’s sales are, in fact, 25.73% lower year-on-year (yoy).

The decline is visible in the local sales to third parties, which are reported to score IDR 202.19 billion. In the same period last year, the said segment contributed IDR 284.25 billion.

In the recently published financial report, BELL manages to exert efficiency in the sales costs, cutting back 30% of the costs to IDR 160.95 billion. In addition, BELL also increases efficiency in other expenses, reducing it by 38% to IDR 6.74 billion.

As of June 30, 2021, 78.54% of BELL’s shares are dominated by PT Trisula International Tbk (TRIS). Meanwhile Reksadana Syariah HPAM Ekuitas Syariah owns another 5.47%, PT Hainan Putihrai Asset Management 5.22%, PT Trisula Insan Tiara 0.79%, and public investors share the remaining 9.98%. (KR/ZH)
