JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (lit. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK) records 83 public offerings in pipeline of IDR 52.56 trillion in total. More specifically, 40 companies would launch their initial public offerings (IPO).

“Based on our observation, there were still 83 public offerings awaiting process (in the pipeline), totaling IDR 52.56 trillion. Then, 40 of those involve initial public offerings (IPO),” Wimboh Santoso, Head of the Commissioner Board of OJK, confirmed yesterday (11/8).

The funds raised until August 3, 2021, via the stock market have increased 99.36% year-on-year (yoy), or IDR 117.94 trillion. This number is derived from 27 newly listed companies that conducted their IPOs, excluding the IPO realisation of Bukalapak.com that was stated as effective starting August 6, 2021.

Being aware of this enthusiasm, Santoso hopes that the capital market could be the main force that drives national economic recovery. OJK would also keep trying to enhance the supply base by accommodating potential companies from the new economy or start-up field to participate in the stock trading in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
