JAKARTA – PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV) posts a net profit of IDR 164.3 billion in the first half of 2021. It is 31% higher than the gain reported in the same period last year of IDR 125.8 billion. This performance improvement goes hand in hand with the increased revenue from the satellite, digital, internet protocol television (IPTV), and broadband services.

Ade Tjendra, President Director of MNC Vision Networks, reveals that the consolidated revenue reaches IDR 2.05 trillion, 18% higher than the number reported in H1 2020 of IDR 1.73 trillion. “We are assured that the company is in the perfect spot to dominate the market, supported by our best performance,” he claims confidently in the press release, quoted Thursday (12/8).

The contribution made by the satellite service amounts to IDR 1.27 trillion, increasing 7% from IDR 1.24 trillion. Meanwhile, the digital, IPTV, and broadband services bring in IDR 706.45 billion, proliferating by 40% from IDR 430.19 billion. Lastly, other segments add in IDR 75.12 billion, growing 34% from IDR 59.77 billion.

According to Tjendra, the enhanced performance in the satellite service results from the acquisition of K-Vision users of 1.1 million new users and the top-up voucher sales of IDR 94.7 billion. On the other hand, the income from IPTV, digital, and broadband services surge as a result of providing entertainment programmes to the people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The company would strengthen the sales of direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TVs as the demand for K-Vision service increases in small cities across Indonesia,” Tjendra concludes. (LK/ZH)
