JAKARTA – PT Toba Bara Energi (TBAE), a subsidiary of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA), proposes a floating solar power plant project in Trembesi Reservoir, Batam.
Dicky Yordan, President Director of TBS Energi Utama, claims to have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the plan alongside the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam) last week (12/8). “The MoU covers facility support, data exchange, field review, and investment feasibility study in law, technical, and domestic component involvement aspects,” he further reveals in the information disclosure, quoted Wednesday (18/8).
According to Yordan, this project establishment would support the company’s revenue growth in the future. However, the amount of investment made for this plan has not yet been specified.
Toba Bara Energi was previously revealed to sign a credit facility agreement of USD 120 million with PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) as its mandated lead arranger, facility agent, security agent, and escrow agent. (LK/ZH)
