JAKARTA – The current year profit of PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA), a pizza restaurant managing company, proliferates by over 200% to IDR 31.52 billion in H1 2021 from IDR 10.47 billion recorded in the same period last year. This significant boost is supported by the efficiency in its selling expense, resulting in an operational profit surge.
In the Financial Report H1 2021 published today (19/8), Jeo Sasanto, Director of Sarimelati Kencana, reveals that the sales have reached IDR 1.68 trillion. It comprises foods of IDR 1.59 trillion and beverages of IDR 95.34 billion. Meanwhile, in the first half of 2020, PZZA scored higher in sales, reaching IDR 1.81 trillion. The foods segment brought in IDR 1.73 trillion, while beverages added IDR 94.77 billion.
Furthermore, the gross profit also slightly depletes from IDR 1.18 trillion to IDR 1.12 trillion. However, the operating profit doubles to IDR 57.46 billion from IDR 26.78 billion. It results from the decreases in selling, general and administrative, and other operating expenses as additional operating profit soar. The earnings before tax are reported at IDR 40.40 billion, significantly higher than IDR 15.92 billion recorded in the same period last year. (LK/ZH)
