Prima Cakrawala is optimistic in scoring IDR 200 billion in revenue

JAKARTA – PT Prima Cakrawala Abadi Tbk (PCAR), a processed seafood manufacturer, is convinced that it could post IDR 200 billion in revenue by expanding its export market for non-mud crabs. Corporate Secretary of Prima Cakrawala Abadi, Baradian Ferry, states through the public expose, quoted Friday (20/8).

Until Q1 2021, the company managed to secure an impressive growth in sales by 74.24% to IDR 26.52 billion. As a result, it gained an IDR 533.35 million profit, turning the tables from the loss reported in the same period last year. “It results from the increased selling price and sales volume,” Ferry concludes.

According to Ferry, the steady demand in the market until this moment has fuelled the management’s confidence in attaining the revenue target and the profit goal of IDR 2 billion by the end of the year. The COVID-19 pandemic response in Indonesia is deemed to provide enough flexibility for the business, thus positively affecting the local producers.

PCAR is a manufacturer of mud crabs, frozen squids, frozen shrimps, and other frozen fish products. Most of the products (90%) could enter the export market to the US, China, and Taiwan. Currently, the company is handling two mud crab processing plants in Makassar, South Sulawesi and Indramayu, West Java. (LK/ZH)
