Domestic and export sales raise BUDI’s revenue by 50%

JAKARTA. PT Budi Starch and Sweetener Tbk (BUDI), a food and beverages company under Sungai Budi Group, is seen achieving revenue growth by 50% in H1 2021 to IDR 1.74 trillion.

Specifically, an IDR 1.3 trillion, equal to 75% of the total revenue, is brought in by product sales in the domestic market. Then, the financial report also reveals that the remaining percentage, 25% of the revenue, equal to IDR 422.86 billion, comes from the product export to foreign countries.

Additionally, tapioca flour products contribute IDR 1.29 trillion to BUDI’s total revenue in H1 2021. Then, plastic bag products bring in IDR 67.64 billion, followed by sweetener products with IDR 364.87 billion and chemical products with IDR 17.09 billion.

The achievements recorded by BUDI in H1 2021 subsequently fuels its net profit to grow 2.4 times higher than the same period last year. As a result, it shifts from IDR 13.39 billion to IDR 46.16 billion.

Until June 30, 2021, PT Budi Delta Swakarya remains the controller of 31.15% of BUDI’s shares. Then, PT Sungai Budi claims another 26.70%, while 43.15% belongs to the public investors. (KR/ZH)
