Today’s Government Sukuk auction reaches IDR 52.46 trillion

JAKARTA. Today (24/8), the government receives incoming bids for the auction of six series of Sovereign Sharia Securities or Government Sukuk of IDR 52.46 trillion in total. Out of the said amount, the Project Based Sukuk 029 (PBS029) records the highest offer of IDR 14.17 trillion.

Based on the press release published by the Directorate-General of Financing and Risk Management of the Finance Ministry, today’s auction is the 16th Government Sukuk auction held in 2021. It generates total bids of IDR 52.46 trillion from six series of Sovereign Sharia Securities. They comprise one Government Sharia Treasury Bond (SPN-S) and five PBS’s.

PBS029, maturing on March 15, 2024, is reported to be the series with the most bids, generating a total of IDR 14.17 trillion. The awarded weighted average yield of the said series reaches 6.45%, with the awarded amount of IDR 3.75 trillion.

Furthermore, PBS031, maturing on July 12, 2024, comes in second place. It brings in incoming bids of IDR 13.99 trillion. Its awarded weighted average yield is at 4.34%, while the awarded amount reaches IDR 2.45 trillion. Overall, the total awarded amount of these five offered series clocks up to IDR 9 trillion, slightly lower than the government’s indicative target of IDR 10 trillion. (AM/ZH)
