JAKARTA - Economic liquidity or broad money (M2) in July 2021 continued to grow at a steady level. The M2 position in July 2021 was recorded at IDR7,149.2 trillion or grew 8.9% (yoy), slowing compared to the previous month's growth of 11.4% (yoy).
The growth in the money supply in July 2021 was mainly due to the narrow money supply component (M1) of 14.9% (yoy) and quasi money (6.8%, yoy).
M2 growth in July 2021 was mainly influenced by net foreign assets and lending. Net foreign assets grew by 4.3% (yoy), slowing compared to June 2021 growth of 11.5% (yoy).
Loan disbursement[1] recorded growth of 0.3% (yoy), slightly slower than 0.4% (yoy) in the previous month. Meanwhile, net receivables to the Central Government grew 38.7% (yoy), higher than the previous month's growth of 38.4% (yoy). (LM)
