ADES doubles its profit to IDR 89.89 billion

JAKARTA – PT Akhasa Wira International Tbk (ADES), a packaged beverages manufacturer, scores the current year profit of IDR 89.89 billion in the first half of 2021. It proliferates from IDR 39.22 billion reported in the same period last year. This gain is mostly supported by the increment in cosmetic products sales.

In the Financial Report H1 2021, published today (27/8), Wihardjo Hadiseputro, President Director of Akhasa Wira International, reveals the total sales have reached IDR 375.03 billion. Bottled water sales bring in IDR 192.43 billion, while cosmetic products sales generate IDR 182.59 billion. In the same period last year, the sales only total IDR 319.88 billion, with the bottled water sales adding IDR 193.19 billion and cosmetic product sales contributing IDR 126.68 billion.

In the first half of 2021, ADES’s dominating market is located in Java, generating IDR 250,17 billion. Then, sales in Kalimantan follow with IDR 57.52 billion, Sumatra with IDR 33.44 billion, and other market areas with IDR 33.03 billion. Meanwhile, the foreign market collects IDR 859 million.

ADES manages to collect a gross profit of IDR 187.08 billion in H1 2021, higher than IDR 153.36 billion in H1 2020. Then, the operating profit grows to IDR 109.76 billion from IDR 45.10 billion due to efficiencies in selling expenses, general and administrative expenses, and other income expenses. The earnings before tax reach IDR 113.95 billion, multiplying from IDR 47.32 billion last year, as the income grows and financial expenses deplete. (LK/ZH)
