JAKARTA. PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk (SIMP), a plantation company under Salim Group, would distribute cash dividends of IDR 3 per share or IDR 38.64 billion in total. It would be taken out of its net profit in 2020.

This plan aligns with the decision made during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting last week. In this meeting, the shareholders agreed to spare 16.49% of the net profit gained in the fiscal year 2020 as the cash dividend.

For the record, SIMP managed to score IDR 234.28 billion in net profit in the last fiscal year. After distributing the dividend, IDR 5 billion of the said net profit would be stored as the company’s reserved funds. Then, the remaining amount of IDR 190.64 billion would be recorded as the undetermined retained earnings.

The management had not decided the mechanism of the cash dividend payout. However, the meeting has granted the directors the right to set their own disbursement method.

Based on idnfinancials.com data, as of June 2021, 73.46% of SIMP’s shares belong to Indofood Agri Resources Ltd (IFAR). PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) owns another 6.68%, while the public investors share the remaining 19.86%. (KR/ZH)
