01 September 2021 05:00

JAKARTA. Asian Development Bank (ADB) projects Indonesia’s economic growth in 2021 to be around 4%.

The said estimation is revealed by the Vice President of Knowledge Management and Sustainable Development of Asian Development Bank, Bambang Susantono. He claims that the more recent prediction would be released in the near future, in which the number is lower than the official prediction issued by the government.

ADB recently announced the national economic growth level prediction in July 2021, projecting it to be 4%. “The said number tends to deplete to 3.5%-4%. It would usually be announced by September,” Susantono stated in a virtual discussion yesterday (31/8).

The government had several times mentioned that the national economic growth level is at 3.7%-4.5%. (AM/ZH)
