BRI seeks IDR 95.92 trillion in the upcoming rights issue

JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) eyes fresh funds of IDR 95.92 trillion in the rights issue of 28,213,191,604 shares, scheduled for next week (9-13/9). The execution price is set to IDR 3,400 per share.

Quoted from the information disclosure today (2/9), Aestika Oryza Gunarto, Corporate Secretary of Bank Rakyat Indonesia, explains that the raised funds during this rights issue would be allocated to form an ultra-micro, state-owned holding company. “The ratio used for this corporate action is that each holder of one billion shares, who is included in the Shareholders’ List, earn their rights over 230,128,553 units of shares,” he adds.

The officially listed shareholders who would have access to this rights issue would be finalised on September 9, 2021. The cum and ex date in the regular and negotiation market would be on September 7 and 8, 2021, while the cash market’s schedule is set to September 9 and 10, 2021.

BRI’s current authorised capital amounts to IDR 14.99 trillion, while its issued and paid-up capital equals IDR 6.16 trillion. Its stock in portfolio, only including Series B, consists of IDR 8.83 trillion. The stockholders include the government (Series A) 0.00%, Series B 56.75%, and the public 42.64%.
