JAKARTA. PT Astra Tol Nusantara (ATN), one of the business units of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), had disbursed a loan facility of IDR 1.56 trillion in total with an interest rate of 7.9% to PT Trans Marga Jateng (TMJ).

Based on the information disclosure submitted to Indonesia Stock Exchange today (2/9), ASII confirms that this facility provision is categorised as an affiliated transaction. It is due to the fact that ATN controls 40% of TMJ’s shares as of July 2021.

“For ATN, the transaction with affiliates would benefit the company financially by providing interest income,” Gita Tiffani Boer, Corporate Secretary of Astra International, explains. “Meanwhile, for TMJ, there would be efficiency in administration,” she adds.

On the same occasion, Boer reveals that the funds gained from the said credit facility would be allocated to TMJ’s general needs. Besides ATN, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) also owns a portion of TMJ’s shares, amounting to 50.91%. Meanwhile, PT Trans Optima Luhur owns 8%, and PT Sarana Pembangunan Jawa Tengah claims the remaining 1.09%.

Based on idnfinancials.com data, ASII is the ultimate shareholder of ATN, with an ownership percentage of 99.99%. Lastly, the rest of the shares belong to PT Sedaya Multi Investama. (KR/ZH)
